A Burning Desire to Be Involved in Manufacturing
I was interested in manufacturing and had a strong desire to ‘create something with my own hands,’ but I had almost no knowledge of the field and was feeling unsure about what to do.
I heard that Fujiseiki offered an environment where I could learn the necessary skills after joining, even without prior knowledge, so I decided to apply.
When I learned that the convenience store onigiri I used to eat casually as a student were made using Fujiseiki’s machinery, I decided to join the company because I realized I could work directly with that machinery.
The Joy of Crafting Parts Through Trial and Error
We machine parts using a multi-axis lathe based on drawings created by the development team.
We primarily use steel and resin materials, and I specialize in machining resin parts.
Every day, I work through trial and error to determine the best machining procedures and how to adjust the cutting tools and settings to achieve a precise and clean finish.
I started out not even knowing the different types of tools, but thanks to guidance from my senior colleagues, I’m now able to write my own programs and produce finished parts.
As the range of programs I can write expands, I find the work very rewarding.
A workplace that balances work and rest
It’s easy to take time off, and the clear separation between work and rest allows me to concentrate on my tasks.
Also, it’s easy to talk to my senior colleagues, and since I can grow with their support at work, I think it’s a very comfortable environment to work in.
A mindset of honing skills through experience
There’s still so much knowledge I need to acquire, so I want to continue machining while learning every day. As I work on machining, there are many things—like reducing processing time and achieving precision—that I can’t learn just by hearing about them from others; I need to experience them firsthand, so I want to further refine my intuition.
